Geoffrey Aronson

Geoffrey Aronson is chairman and co-founder of The Mortons Group. For more than four decades, Mr. Aronson has been engaged as a commentator and participant in key political, economic and security challenges across the Middle East and North Africa. In particular, his work has focused on political and strategic issues throughout the Levant and Egypt.
As the Research Director of the Foundation for Middle East Peace from 1992-2014, Mr. Aronson originated and edited the Foundation’s bimonthly Report on Israeli Settlement in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
He has worked with numerous international organizations, including the European Union and the World Bank Group, on critical issues related to security and political issues at the heart of the Arab-Israeli conflict and regional instability arising out of the Arab Spring. He has also leveraged decades of regional experience to shape, support and manage numerous Israeli-Palestinian and Israeli-Syrian track 1.5 and track 2 diplomatic initiatives.
Mr. Aronson consults with a variety of public and private sector institutions seeking to navigate regional political, security, and development challenges in a period of unprecedented uncertainty across the Middle East and North Africa. Aronson is the author of From Sideshow to Center Stage: US Policy towards Egypt and Israel and Palestinians, and the Occupied Territories: Creating Facts in the West Bank. An adjunct scholar with the Middle East Institute, Mr. Aronson has published commentary and analysis for numerous publications including The American Conservative, the Nelson Report, Al-Monitor, Al Jazeera, and Al-Arabiya. Mr. Aronson holds a BA in International Relations from Tufts University and a M.Litt. in Modern Middle East History from St. Antony’s College, Oxford University.
